1. Why did you choose to complete an Internship?

I chose to complete an internship because, after two years of working in Brazil, I decided to study in Australia, and I knew that an internship would be an opportunity to experience and better understand the job market here. This work experience was the best way for me to learn new skills and create my network to leverage my career.

2. What have you learned the most during your internship?

During the internship, I learned to relate and understand the importance of networking, to prioritize tasks, to organize and better distribute my work time. I also had the opportunity to explore the various facets that marketing offers and develop new skills and acquire new knowledge. From my experience, I can say that I consider internship an essential preparation to leverage the start of any professional's career.

3. What benefits do you feel AI contributed to your internship and time in Australia?

In my case, I was a marketing intern at Australian Internships, so I was able to get to know each person's work closely within the company and how much everyone works daily to provide the best possible experience for interns. The entire team and, in particular, my supervisors Daniele, Bek, and Debora, have always been available and willing to support me throughout my internship period, especially during the COVID-19 lockdown.

4. What advice would you give future interns?

I would say not to be afraid to face the unknown or to make mistakes because it is only when we leave the comfort zone that we grow and discover that we are more capable than we imagine.

5. What do you enjoy most about Australia?

I could spend hours writing about Australia and Brisbane. Brisbane is a vibrant city, with sunny days and full of life as well as being close to Australia's most beautiful beaches. Australia is a welcoming and multi-cultural country where you will never feel alone and the locals tend to be incredibly friendly, relaxed, and free from any kind of prejudice.
