Why did you choose to complete an Internship?

I have been looking for a job for almost a year already, however, most of the job vacancies require the applicant to have at least one year of work experience, and visa status is also a part of the issue as we know most companies are only hiring Australian citizens. Therefore, I decided to start with an internship program and gain some work experience in related fields, try to build up my networking, and find any possible opportunity to get a job offer!

What have you learned the most during your internship?

I learned that it’s important to communicate with my supervisor via phone or email if I have questions or if I don’t know how to work on a task. Asking for help and clarification is better than pretending you’ve understood what you need to do, no matter what. As an intern, good communication will help with productivity, efficiency, and growth.

What benefits do you feel AI contributed to your internship and time in Australia?

Australian Internships helped me to find a company that suits me and start my career. Without an Australia Internship and Imante Markeviciute, it would be difficult for me to have the opportunity to intern in this company I dream of. Or maybe I am still have not found any engineering jobs. I truly appreciate all the help provided by the Australian internship and Imante Markeviciute!

What advice would you give future interns?

Communication is the key to success in a professional environment. As an intern, I find it essential to be passionate and open to learning new skills, requiring more work, and learning and asking questions. This attitude will tell people that you like to be part of the team and are willing to help.

What do you enjoy most about Australia?

Comfortable weather and lovely people. It is always good to be with these lovely people during my internship, no matter if they are engineers, clients, or subcontractors. Everyone is very gentle and kind in this job, I certainly wish I could have a chance to work with them again in the future.
