QLD – Brisbane, Cairns, Sunshine Coast

Great Barrier Reef

The Great Barrier Reef known for its amazing reef and diverse marine life and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World seems like a great place to start. It expands over 2,300 kilometers (1,430 miles) and is the largest coral reef system in the world! The Great Barrier Reef is a major tourist destination; activities include snorkelling, scuba diving, boat tours, and helicopter rides over the reef.

Fraser Island

Fraser Island is the largest sand island in the world, stretching over 120 kilometers (75 miles). Fraser Island is home to diverse wildlife like dingoes. Many explore the island by 4WD vehicles (driving on the beach). You can do various activities on the island including snorkelling, camping, hiking, fishing, and guided tours.

Whitsundays

If the pristine white sand and clear blue water aren’t enough to convince you, the Whitsundays is made up of 74 gorgeous Islands. That means 74 reasons to go, right!?

The well-loved Steve Irwin, his family, and their Zoo is a must-do when in Australia. The legacy of Steve Irwin and the love he had for Australia and its animals live on through the zoo. Experience all Australian wildlife has to offer including a cuddly koala.

They don’t call QLD the Sunshine State for no reason and on a sunny summer day, the Sunshine Coast is where you’d want to be. The Sunshine Coast has some of the most beautiful beaches in Australia (and in our personal opinion in the world) featuring Noosa National Park. After you’re done exploring all the beautiful beaches Noosa has to offer a stop at Eumundi markets is in order for all the best lunch options one could dream.

Maybe adrenaline is more your thing, the Gold Coast is home to the best theme parks Australia has to offer.

NSW – Sydney, Byron Bay

Bondi Beach

One of Australia’s most famous beaches, home to the one and only Bondi Rescue. Featuring the stunning Coastal Walk to Coogee Beach.

Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge

The Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge are two iconic landmarks, which can be seen across various points. For thrill seekers climbing the bridge is popular among tourists. Phillip Island

Escape the city and visit Phillip Island known for its wildlife, particularly the nightly penguin parade where you can view penguins returning home to their burrows.

Uluru holds great cultural significance to Aboriginal heritage and is thought to have started forming around 550 million years ago. Uluru is one of the world's largest monoliths, rising approximately 348 meters (1,142 feet). Please note: climbing Uluru was once a popular activity but closed officially to climbers in October 2019 out of respect for the cultural beliefs of the Anangu people.
