KYAW-WIN LOH - graphic designer

Introduction
I grew up in a small country town in Victoria Australia where I always had a passion for video games and the creative arts. My dream was to see the worlds beyond the stars but I decided if I was unable to see them for myself I would create the places I envisioned for all to enjoy. With that in mind I went on to complete a bachelor in Interactive Entertainment majoring in Games Design to give myself the tools I needed. But if I’m not coding or sketching I love to go out and try new restaurants with friends or staying fit by going for a run around the bay!

How would you describe your work?
It’s true what they say, if you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life! Being a graphic designer allows me to put my ideas into the material that I create. Whether it’s a brochure, webpage, video content, or image editing, I love seeing the end result of my designs.

What do you like the most about your work?
What I like most is that it is forever changing. There is always a new technique or a new piece of software that allows for even more creativity. Secondly I love the people I work with, everyone has their own unique ideas which helps me think outside the box and create designs I would have never considered.

Your message to the interns?
Being in one of the more difficult fields to make a career in I understand the struggles of trying to find work. If it’s what you’re passionate about nothing will stop you achieving your dream. Being idle is what you want to avoid, don’t be afraid to take the opportunities that comes your way because every step will bring you closer to your goal!
